Stormont Vail Health Welcomes Deangelo Ferguson, M.D., to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Team

Stormont Vail Health is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Deangelo Ferguson to its Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team. He provides surgical and non-surgical treatments at Cotton O’Neil Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery-Asbury Drive, 2902 S.W. Asbury Dr., Topeka, 66614.

Dr. Ferguson brings a patient-first philosophy to every consultation, emphasizing trust, honesty, and personalized treatment plans. To him, his field is about more than surgery—it’s about understanding people and helping them heal physically and emotionally.

“Trust is essential. I want patients to feel safe, heard, and supported from the first visit to the final follow-up,” Dr. Ferguson said.

His journey into medicine began in junior high school, where a fascination with anatomy and physiology led to volunteer work in local hospitals. Witnessing patients recover during their most vulnerable moments left a lasting impression and solidified his passion for medicine.

Dr. Ferguson completed a fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he trained in advanced reconstructive and cosmetic procedures under a highly experienced team. He previously completed the General Surgery Residency Program at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and earned his medical degree from the University of the West Indies Faculty of Medical Sciences in Jamaica.

Dr. Ferguson is now accepting patients. To schedule a consultation or request a referral, call (785) 354-9591.
