We Celebrate Michelle Clark-Galvan, DAISY Award Recipient

Great care begins with listening. That’s why we’re proud to honor Michelle Clark-Galvan, APRN, with the DAISY Award, an international recognition for extraordinary nurses.

Michelle was nominated by a patient who arrived to their appointment feeling frustrated and closed off. In just one visit, Michelle’s empathy, thoroughness, and communication turned that experience around.

“She listened to me, heard me. She did extra tests and did all she could to get to the bottom of what was causing me these problems,” the patient shared. “Because of the care she has shown me, I don’t think I’ll ever leave the care clinic.”

Michelle’s approach is a reflection of the care you can expect across our health system: compassionate, thorough, and patient-first.

Read her nomination and see how her dedication reflects the best of our team’s values.

Michelle’s DAISY Nomination

“After being dismissed from my PCP [primary care provider] due to missing too many appointments I was instructed to attend appointments at the care clinic. I was very upset that this happened and was opposed to staying at the care clinic after I was allowed to return to my original PCP. This was until my FIRST appointment with her [Michelle]. She listened to me, she heard me. I explained to her the problems I’ve been having, the effects they have on my life and how I’ve been dealing with the same things for so long. She did extra tests, she asked follow up questions and she did all she could to get to the bottom of what was causing me these problems. She kept me informed after the tests results returned and walked me through options of care. She really went above and beyond for me the way only few have in the past. She did all of this on our FIRST appointment even when I came in completely upset and close minded. She has amazing bed side manner, communication skills and is very personable. If anyone deserves a little extra appreciation it is her. Because of the care she has shown me, I don’t think I’ll ever leave the care clinic.”
