We Celebrate Stephanie Robb, DAISY Award Winner

When patients talk about great healthcare, they often remember more than a treatment plan—they remember the people who listened.

That’s why we’re proud to recognize Stephanie Robb, Care Manager, as our latest DAISY Award recipient.

Stephanie received a nomination from a patient managing significant health challenges, including heart disease and diabetes. In their nomination, the patient shared how Stephanie became a trusted source of support through regular check-ins, encouragement, and help navigating barriers to care.

While facing insurance changes and ongoing health concerns, the patient said Stephanie never stopped looking for ways to help them stay on track.

Most importantly, Stephanie made them feel heard.

For the patient, Stephanie’s compassion made a lasting impact. For our team, it serves as a reminder of what exceptional care looks like.

Congratulations, Stephanie, and thank you for helping patients feel supported every step of the way.

Stephanie’s Nomination

Editor’s note: This nomination has been lightly edited for clarity and readability.

I have many health issues and am considered a “medically complex” patient. I have had a lot of heart issues and diabetes that is not controlled like it should be.

I had my first heart attack in March of 2013, at the age of 35. Three clots formed, and since then, I have had many stents, a triple bypass, and two more heart attacks. In 2013, I was also diagnosed with diabetes, which doctors estimated I had been living with for at least five years.

It has been extremely difficult. Finding someone I connect with has not been easy. I’ve had endocrinologists and case managers before but eventually stopped seeing them.

When my primary care doctor suggested seeing an endocrinologist again, I was hesitant. However, because of my ongoing heart issues and the impact uncontrolled diabetes can have on them, I decided to give it another chance. My A1C is currently 12.

Then I met Bailey Cole, and she listened! I felt heard and understood. She was the one who recommended I give a case manager another try. That’s how I met Ms. Robb!

She has continuously checked up on me and monitored my blood sugars through my Dexcom. She has been encouraging and supportive in my care.

When I ran into some insurance challenges while waiting for Medicare Part B and Part D coverage to kick in, she took the time to explore all possibilities to help me stay on track.

She made me feel like more than a monetary value, especially during a time when I didn’t have insurance. This has meant so much to me.

I am 47, a wife, a mother, and a foster mom. I want to live as long as I can. Having individuals like my PCP, cardiology care team, Bailey Cole, and Ms. Robb gives me the strength, perseverance, and motivation to keep going. You cannot put enough emphasis on this!

Thank you for taking the time to hear my experiences, and hear what a huge impact this nurse has made for me!
