We Together: A Communication of Stormont Vail Health

Dear Community Partners,

Here are today’s updates:

  • Stormont Vail OB/GYN – Lincoln Center Welcomes Megan Northup, M.D.
  • Heartfelt Valentine Art Created by Building Blocks Children

Stormont Vail OB/GYN – Lincoln Center Welcomes Megan Northup, M.D.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Megan Northup to Stormont Vail OB/GYN – Lincoln Center Urish. As she brings her extensive experience in pelvic pain, complex obstetrics, and perinatal loss to the Topeka community, Dr. Northup will continue to see patients at Stormont Vail Emporia Clinic every Thursday.

As someone who has faced challenges in her own obstetric journey, including a stillbirth and multiple miscarriages, Dr. Northup brings a unique perspective to patient care. Her experiences drive her commitment to providing compassionate support to women and their families during difficult times.

“I want to make sure women are taken care of, have equitable access to care, and maybe even address some of the underlying issues affecting their care as well,” Dr. Northup said. “I’m going to be your partner in care. I want you to feel heard and respected, and I will work with you to navigate life’s challenges.”

We’re excited about the positive impact Dr. Northup will make on our patients and team. Take a moment to welcome her with a message on the We Together Recognition Wall!

Heartfelt Valentine Art Created by Building Blocks Children

Artwork created by children at Stormont Vail’s Building Blocks child care center evoke some heartfelt images this week – and just in time for Valentine’s Day on Friday.

The special art projects were done in each classroom over the past two weeks. The projects are very child-centered and supported by the Building Blocks teachers. The colorful pieces of art are on display in the hallway of the Building Blocks 2 location “to show our love on Valentine’s Day,” said Misti Hight, childcare director. Thank you, Building Blocks team, for sharing the love!

Remember spots are limited, so RSVP is required. Click HERE for more information or to RSVP.

We together,
Dr. Kenagy
