Raising a Future Healthcare Professional? Let’s Explore their Options

Is your child graduating high school or starting college? Are they interested in a healthcare career but unsure about their options? Our friends at Talent Acquisition are here to help!

They’ve organized two special events to help your young adult (and you!) explore the many opportunities across our healthcare system. Join us at the Human Resources Auditorium, 1615 S.W. 8th Ave., in Topeka, on the following dates: 

Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 – 6 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, March 1, 2025 – 1 to 3 p.m.

Discover available career opportunities in these areas: Childcare Teacher, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Coder, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (COTA/CPTA), Environmental Services, Information Technology/ Information Systems, Laboratory Services, Nutritional Services, Pharmacy Technician, Radiologic Technologist, Respiratory Therapist and Surgical Technician.

“To Your Health” on WIBW-TV Tonight – Cardiac Rehab Program

A patient who survived a cardiac arrest spoke about his life-changing experience and how our team with the Cardiac Rehab Program helped him on his recovery journey in tonight’s WIBW-TV “To Your Health” segment. Members from Stormont Vail’s Cardiac Rehab team will be interviewed for the segment that airs at 10 p.m. on WIBW-TV, Channel 13. The segment typically repeats at 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Fridays on 13 News This Morning and is posted on wibw.com.

Retirement Party to Honor Mike Kongs

Mike Kongs, System Director of Finance/Controller, will be honored at a retirement party from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Stormont Vail Administrative Center Cafeteria. Mike has worked for Stormont Vail Health for 15 years. Please come and extend best wishes to Mike as he begins his retirement adventure.
