Ryan Bishop Honored with Prestigious Silver Medal Award from Topeka Ad Fed

The American Advertising Federation Topeka (AAF-Topeka) has announced Ryan Bishop as the 2026 recipient of the esteemed Silver Medal Award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the advertising industry and his dedicated
service to the Topeka community.

The Silver Medal Award will be presented on the evening of February 21, 2026, during the American Advertising Awards ceremony, held at Heritage Hall in Topeka.

Established by the American Advertising Federation, the Silver Medal Award is the
highest honor presented by local AAF clubs. It recognizes individuals who demonstrate
creative excellence, advance the advertising profession, and actively contribute to their
communities. Bishop’s career exemplifies these ideals through his exceptional visual
storytelling, leadership, and service.

A Topeka-area native, Bishop is a highly accomplished photographer and video
producer whose work is recognized across multiple platforms and industries. Most
recently, his award-winning photography and video production for Stormont Vail Health
have been featured in television commercials, digital and print advertising, websites,
and internal communications. His work is known for its emotional depth, precision, and
ability to capture moments others might miss.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bishop played a vital role in documenting and honoring
frontline healthcare workers, using his lens to tell deeply human stories during a time of
crisis. His ability to work with minimal direction while producing compelling, thoughtful
content has made him a trusted creative partner and a respected voice in the regional
advertising community.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bishop has been a tireless advocate for AAFTopeka
and the creative community. He is a past president of AAF-Topeka and a
recipient of the Carolyn Terhune Volunteer of the Year Award. He is also a graduate of
Leadership Greater Topeka and is widely known for quietly supporting organizations
and causes that elevate underrepresented voices throughout the community.
Bishop is a Part 107 licensed drone pilot and an experienced video producer with a
background in event management, television, marketing, and advanced Adobe Creative
Cloud applications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from Washburn
University.

“Ryan Bishop represents everything the Silver Medal Award stands for, creative
excellence, humility, generosity, and a deep commitment to community,” said AAFTopeka
leadership. “His work has shaped how stories are told in our region and has
made a lasting impact on both the advertising industry and the people it serves.”

Bishop joins a distinguished group of Silver Medal recipients whose careers have
helped shape the advertising profession while inspiring the next generation of creatives.
