First Stormont Vail Physician Group Begins Onsite Leadership Program
Stormont Vail Health is partnering with the American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL), a national organization dedicated to physician leadership training, to offer courses leading to the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) credential in Topeka.
The first cohort of 20 Stormont Vail physicians has started a two-year training to achieve the CPE credential. Two additional cohorts of 20 physicians each will begin in successive years so a total of 60 physicians will have the opportunity to achieve the CPE credential.

Molly Disbrow, M.D., Featured on KMAN Radio
Manhattan Gastroenterology Specialist Molly Disbrow, M.D., recently joined Mike Matson on Within Reason with Mike Matson. During the conversation, Dr. Disbrow shined a light on the importance of screening—not just during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, but anytime you have baseline changes in gut-related habits. She also shared valuable insights on gut health and her work with Clinical Research.

Stormont Vail Health Team Members Light Up Cosmic Bowling
Team members, friends, and family hit the lanes for an evening of friendly competition and a few questionable bowling forms at our recent cosmic bowling event.
Congrats to Megan McComas and Jodi Foster, specialty RNs at the Digestive Health Center, who took home this year’s prize baskets!
Valvoline Team Leads the Way for Children’s Miracle Network
Corey Lada, Special Events Manager with the Stormont Vail Foundation, recently visited the Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Brandywine in Topeka to personally thank their outstanding team and deliver Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) shirts. This location led all Valvoline sites in Kansas and surrounding states in fundraising for CMN—an incredible achievement that reflects the team’s dedication to giving back and supporting children and families in our region.

Sports Physical Day Scores Big for Young Athletes 💪
Our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team is here to help local middle and high school athletes stay healthy and safe this season with $20 sports physicals at Kanza Park from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
And here’s an extra win: $10 of every sports physical goes to the athlete’s school!
