New Arrival at Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills Campus: Wireless Fetal Monitors

Stormont Vail Health is enhancing maternal care at its Flint Hills Campus in Junction City with the addition of two Philips Avalon Wireless Fetal Monitors, set to arrive in eight to ten weeks.

These advanced monitors are manufactured in Germany to Stormont Vail’s specifications and will integrate seamlessly with existing monitoring systems. They allow laboring mothers to move freely without being attached to cables, offering greater comfort and flexibility during childbirth while ensuring clinicians have the data they need by \maintaining essential fetal monitoring.

“It’s a win for patient comfort, mobility, and care quality,” said Tracy Duran, Hospital Administrator at Stormont Vail Flint Hills Campus. “We’re proud to bring this innovation to our community.”

This upgrade is made possible through generous funding from the Stormont Vail Foundation and the R2 B4 Bramlage Family Foundation, reflecting a shared commitment to delivering the best healthcare to mothers, babies, and families in the region. It comes during a record-breaking year for babies delivered at the Flint Hills Campus, underscoring the growing need for advanced, patient-centered maternal care.
