Types of Orthopedic Trauma Injuries
Orthopedic trauma injuries can happen in an instant. Common types of injuries we treat include:
Arm, Hand and Fingers
We use the latest techniques, tools and technology to treat injured arms, hands and fingers. Some of the injuries we treat include arm, wrist and hand fractures, severe wrist and thumb sprains and degloving accidents.
Elbow and Shoulder
The elbow and shoulder are among the most complex joints in the body. Elbow and shoulder injuries are truly debilitating, and may require special surgery to correct. The most common forms of elbow and shoulder injuries include breaks, hyperextension, severe sprains and dislocations.
Leg, Ankle and Foot
Some leg, ankle and foot injuries may require more complex treatments. Leg, ankle and foot trauma can occur during sporting events, recreational activities, car accidents or injuries suffered during normal activities at work or home. These injuries include severe sprains, fractures and dislocations.
Pelvic
Treatment for pelvic fractures depends on the stability of the broken bone as well as the severity of the break. If the fracture is displaced (a gap between the bone break) or the break is in the acetabulum, orthopedic surgery is vital for proper repair.
