We Celebrate Sally Simmons: January 2025 Person of the Moment

This month, we toast Sally Simmons for her exceptional professionalism and quick thinking during a WebEx call with a colleague who was working remotely.

As the two talked, it became clear to Sally, an RN at our Carbondale Clinic, that her coworker was experiencing an active stroke. Without hesitation, Sally alerted her nurse manager, who quickly arranged for an ambulance dispatch to her colleague’s home.

Sally’s swift actions were crucial and potentially life-saving. This incident is a powerful reminder of the impact we can have on each other’s lives, even from a distance. Thank you, Sally, for your exemplary response and dedication to your colleagues!
